Whilst driving through France yesterday - listening to radio news about violent 'cost of fuel' protests in Paris - I stopped at one of the 'Gilet Jaunes' (Yellow Jackets) protests further south near the Spanish border. Approaching a highway off-ramp I was faced with a tailback of trucks but was given permission to pass in my car after submitting my toll ticket (Gratuit today).
